Effective 30 June 2026 · Last updated 30 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Nerve Hospitality Pty Ltd (Nerve, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or otherwise engage with us. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and we apply equivalent protections for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom under the GDPR.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you join the Nerve waitlist or contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:

  • your name;
  • your work email address;
  • your company, hotel or group name;
  • your portfolio size and the number of rooms or keys you operate; and
  • any other information you include in a message to us.

Information we collect automatically

When you use our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies and analytics below).

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • manage the waitlist and assess interest in Nerve;
  • respond to your enquiries and communicate with you about Nerve;
  • send you product updates, early-access information and marketing communications where you have asked to receive them or where we are otherwise permitted to do so (you can opt out at any time);
  • operate, maintain, analyse and improve our website and services;
  • protect the security and integrity of our website; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

For visitors in the EEA/UK, our legal bases for processing are: your consent (for example, optional marketing and analytics cookies); our legitimate interests in operating, securing and promoting our business; and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our website work and to understand how it is used. This includes Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, which sets cookies to help us measure traffic and usage patterns. Analytics cookies are not strictly necessary for the website to function.

You can control or opt out of analytics cookies by:

  • adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies;
  • installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on; and
  • using any cookie or consent controls we make available on the website. Where consent is required, we will only set non-essential cookies after you have given it.

For more information on how Google handles data, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with trusted third-party service providers who process it on our behalf, including:

  • HubSpot — our customer relationship management (CRM) and email platform, used to store waitlist sign-ups and manage communications;
  • Google Analytics — website analytics;
  • Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.

We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law, to protect our rights or safety or those of others, or in connection with a business sale, merger or restructure.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store and process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy and applicable law. For EEA/UK transfers, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain the waitlist and meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When we no longer need it, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

You may, subject to applicable law:

  • request access to the personal information we hold about you;
